Peter Anderson is the Vice President of Global Supply Chain for Cummins Inc. Peter began his career at Cummins in February 2017. In this role, he leads the supply chain organization, which includes over 5,000 employees across Purchasing, Quality, Manufacturing, Analytics, Central Supply Chain Operations, Remanufacturing and Business Process Transformation teams. Cummins Supply Chain transformation is critical to Cummins success and Peter’s 30 years’ experience in supply chain manufacturing, operational and consulting roles will be invaluable to Cummins future success.
Prior to joining Cummins, Peter worked for 10 years at Ernst & Young (EY). There he formed the global Supply Chain Practice and worked his way to Partner. While at EY he consulted with Cummins and other global companies to develop their supply chain strategies. His experience before EY includes Operations Director & Managing Director at Milk Industry Logistics; Operations Director at Bibby Distribution, a Third Party Logistics provider; and consultant at IBM Consulting (formerly PWC Consulting). While at IBM, he led the Supply Chain Transformation practice while holding a number of operational interim leadership roles in the industry while providing consulting support.
A native of the United Kingdom, Peter earned his MBA from Strathclyde Graduate Business School in 1998 and a BSc degree in Transport and Distribution from Huddersfield Polytechnic University in 1991.
