Peaking Power

Money–saving power systems that supply energy during peak demand periods when utility costs are highest.

On–site power systems that supply power to your facility during your utility’s peak demand period can reduce your energy costs and improve reliability. Electricity purchased from the utility during peak usage periods can cost up to 100 times more than during off–peak hours. Utilities, large commercial and industrial users can employ on–site peaking systems as a hedge against high electric bills and utility outages.

Power systems based on reciprocating engine generators offer the best fuel efficiency, fastest delivery and shortest commissioning time of any comparably sized power system from 1 to 100 MW. Cummins Power generation provides power solutions that fit your needs virtually anywhere in the world.

Systems include:

  • Turnkey power systems from design through installation and commissioning
  • Financing, operation and maintenance programs
  • Lean–burn natural gas or low–emissions diesel reciprocating engine generators
