In North America, Cummins Power Generation has a full range of rental products from 60 – 2,000 kW all available with a trailer option. With over ten years of experience previously in owning, maintaining and operating rental generator fleets, we clearly understand the needs of our customer. These climate tolerant products can run autonomously at low noise levels that make them suitable for many rental applications. Options include, Tier 4 interim technology as well as Tier 2 and Tier 3 options for various nodes supplied based on the TPEM program.

For the European local hire market we have launched four new products spanning 150- 300 kVA sizes. This forms part of our long term vision for a seamless rental generator set range. We have made significant investment in our people, products and strengthened our services for the benefit of our customers in the rental segment. Our team benefits from experience drawn directly from the rental industry, including our product engineers.     For several years, New York’s Long Island Power Authority (LIPA) supplemented its summertime generating capacity with rented mobile peaking generators to avoid strain on the utility’s power distribution system. In 2004, LIPA awarded a contract to Cummins Metropower, Inc. for 88 MW of clean, reciprocating engine mobile generators from Cummins Rental Business. The mobile generators have not only met stringent air quality regulations but reduced installation and operating costs for the power authority as well.
