Cummins QSL9 combines strength, reliability and intelligent engine design to create an exceptional engine of the highest quality
Manston, United Kingdom – The QSL9 combines the strength and reliability that has come to be expected from a Cummins engine with an intelligent engine design, making the QSL9 an exceptional engine of the highest quality.
Equipped with a Cummins engineered full authority electronic engine the QSL9 has been engineered to meet the specific duty cycle and operating conditions of the Genset. On site adjustments can be made to gain droop and speed quickly and efficiently. This engine is backed up with the full support of the Cummins service network at 4500 locations around the world.
The High pressure common rail fuel system enhances combustion efficency. Together with smart electronics and Cummins premium engineering it serves to lower combustion by–products to a negligible level meaning that the QSL9 is the best in its class for emissions and power density. The G5 is 4gTA Luft compliant and the G3, G2 and G1 are all EPA T3 and EU stage IIIA compliant.
The QSL engine is based upon an integrated block design, the fluid circuits are integrated, replacing hoses and eliminating potential leak points. Accessories are mounted directly to the block for exceptional reliability, with a front seal designed for leak–free operation.
Response time is a key factor of the engines performance, the waste–gated design HX40 turbocharger optimises operation across the torque curve and improves response and the 24 valve cylinder head with four valves per cylinder increases power across the torque curve and leaves the engine with faster response times at every RPM. The QSL’s response time is more than equipped to handle sudden load increase effectively and efficiently.
